2019 is Here!

It's that time of the year that we all look forward to .... the new releases of the products we all use every day.  It means our consultants have been busy training up on the new changes, testing the software and updating our plugins.  It also means that we start to get busy with companies wanting us to install and train them on the latest and best software.

2019 is Here!

So far, we have AutoCAD and Vault 2019 released with Inventor 2019 due any day now.  We will be doing a series of posts to look at the new releases and the functionality changes ... and believe me there are some good ones!  Whether its the Bi-directional sync to Autodesk drive from Vault, the single release of AutoCAD with it's verticals or the massive speed enhancements in Inventor there will be something for everyone.

Just to start us off however let's talk about the requirements for the new software.  As computers are updated so must the Autodesk software.  Because of this there are some changes to the specs for the new release.  For most people if your computer runs Inventor and AutoCAD already then you will be fine for the new release.  The changes mainly come in the supported SQL versions for Vault.  SQL 2012 is no longer supported and must now also be the 64 bit version.  Here are the specs for AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault for you:
